My approach is integrative in that I use several different evidence based treatment strategies that are tailored to your individual needs and personality. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with the use of interpersonal and solution-focused techniques, while providing psycho-education and implementing mindfulness and relaxation.
These interventions include, but are not limited to: Attachment-based interventions, Narrative therapy techniques, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Life skills training, Self-compassion and self-esteem building, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Family therapy interventions, Reality therapy and choice theory, and Play-based interventions for children.
I also believe that there is healing through humor- it’s one of life’s greatest buffers. So, if all else fails (it won’t) at least we will have a good laugh : )
